Christmas at The Salvation Army New Jersey Division
It’s that time of the year again when we look forward to spending time with family and friends. While you are busy preparing for the holidays, we ask that you don’t forget that there are many that go without during this time. Looking for ways to give back during the holidays? Here are three ways to get involved at The Salvation Army during the holiday season:
- Volunteer: Whether it’s ringing bells during our most-famous Red Kettle campaign or serving food at one of our soup kitchens or sorting and wrapping gifts, the donation of time is one of the biggest gifts you can give The Salvation Army during the holidays.

- Sponsor a family that is in need through our Adopt-A-Family program. This connects impoverished families with individuals or groups to provide for their tangible needs at Christmas. Thank you for your support of The Salvation Army in New Jersey's Adopt-A-Family program. This year, 602 families were adopted across the state of New Jersey! We want to say a very big Thank You and we are so grateful for your willingness to help. Our work could not continue without the compassion and generosity of people like you.
- To donate directly to The Salvation Army in New Jersey, text NJKETTLE to 41444 or Donate Online. Donations collected during Christmas help provide assistance to families and individuals during the holidays and throughout the year.
