You can help perpetuate the work of The Salvation Army in your community by remembering the Army in your will.
Legal documents such as Wills should always be prepared by attorneys. The Salvation Army submits these sample bequest forms (see link below) for the information of donors and friends - and especially for the guidance of attorneys preparing Wills containing bequests for The Salvation Army.
The legal title of The Salvation Army is: The Salvation Army, a religious and charitable organization with principal offices at 440 West Nyack Road, West Nyack, NY 10994.
In return for an irrevocable minimum gift of $5,000 in either cash or stock, The Salvation Army provides a fixed, lifetime payment for one or two lives. Beneficiaries must be at least 55 years of age to receive payments. The rate of return is based on your age - the older, the higher the rate.
For information about donating securities (including DTC instructions), please call Blair Hearth or Libby Baldwin at 1-800-713-4980.
The Salvation Army works with its supporters and their advisors to arrange charitable trusts. We also accept gifts of real estate, life insurance, bank account and IRA beneficiary designations, non-marketable securities (including business interests), antiques and valuable tangible personal property. The proceeds can be designated to specific locales or programs. For these and similar gifts, please contact either Blair Hearth or Libby Baldwin. Our goal is to help you match your goals with the right gift, either now or at a later date. Communications are kept confidential.
