THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 2016, HOBOKEN, N.J.—The Salvation Army New Jersey Division Emergency Disaster Services (EDS) team is responding to today’s train crash in Hoboken, N.J. that has affected dozens of people.

“The Salvation Army is on-the-ground addressing the needs of those who have been responding to the crash as well as those impacted,” says Major Ivan K. For larger disasters, The Salvation Army in New Jersey also has three field kitchens, which can serve up to 10,000 hot meals per day.

In addition, emotional and spiritual care services will be made available for those in need at a state-run family assistance center in Jersey City.
